Aged Applewood is one of the most popular of the fruit woods used in smoking. After 48 hours of cold smoking this wood it infuses a robust hickory flavor into the sea salt. This Smoked Sea Salt has a subtle fruit wood flavor that is mild enough to use with fish, shellfish, and poultry. Pork, sausage, ham, and bacon are also delicious when cooked or cured with this smoked salt. It was naturally harvested using traditional techniques and the pristine ocean waters off the shores of La Jolla, California. Each batch of salt is made over the course of 72 hours and has been perfected through experimentation with different blends.
